Born in Dublin in 1958.
Lectured at IADT (DLCAD), in printmaking & drawing 1991-97
Chairman of Graphic Studio Dublin Print Workshop, 2000-05.
Worked at studios internationally including: Guanlan Print Base, Shenzhen China,
Galleri Astley, Sweden, Jyvaskyla Centre for Print, Finland, Paupers Press, London,
Hampton Editions, USA & YAC Tianjin, China.
Stephen has initiated and coordinated many print projects including Art into Art 1998,
Holy Show 2002, A lonely impulse of delight 2016 & Kwaidan - Encounters with Lafcadio
Hearn 2023-2025.
Founder member of IAPA Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing China 2016.
Elected a member of Aosdána 2018.
Elected Fellowship & Council Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers London, RE 2023.
Panel member of judges at the Masters in Printmaking 2017/18/19 Royal Academy of
Fine Arts Antwerp, Belgium.
